Revitalising an old cinema & community space in Catford, South London

A regeneration story in partnership with Really Local Group, The Rig Out, and Lyttleton Yates to breathe the 9th life back into the Catford centre - a Brutalist shopping mall once hailed as “The Barbican of the South.”

We created an identity for the space – taking inspiration from the iconic fibreglass cat atop the centre’s sign, a recognisable feature of the area. The identity took some of the existing architectural features; expanded and incorporated them over a series of touchpoints which were had been playfully interfered with by the eponymous feline.
